Agriculture & Kisanology: The Learning & Prosperity of FARMERs Through Innovation & Technology

A Glocal perspective of IAEGlocal Worldwide
Agriculture, including farming, livestock, food processing, aquaponics, and aquaculture, plays a critical role in shaping the economy and livelihoods of billions in the world. At IAEGlocal, we are dedicated to bridging the gap between technology and farmer welfare, driving prosperity and income growth through innovative solutions such as crop forecasting, crop insurance, agrilasers, eliminating exploitative traders & middlemen, and offering specialized training in crop cultivation and lifecycle management.
Any agrarian economy is highly vulnerable due to its dependence on unpredictable weather patterns, climate change, coupled with a semi-literate or illiterate rural population. Traditionally, the younger generation in farming communities has been inclined to leave rural areas for urban centers, attracted by the promise of better opportunities in the government and private sectors. As a result, many educated youths opt for city-based careers rather than continuing in farming, contributing to a steady decline in agricultural income-based families over the past few decades.
However, a new paradigm is emerging now . A growing number of qualified individuals are now looking back to the farm, eager to explore innovative and scientific approaches to farming that maximize the use of both natural and government resources, enhancing productivity and improving the quality of produce. This shift represents a unique opportunity to rejuvenate the agricultural sector and empower farmers to become AGRIPRENEURS
At IAEGlocal, we are focused on the field of ``Kisanology,`` which explores the intersection of technology, innovation, and agricultural prosperity. While working towards advancing this field, we frequently pose several critical questions to guide our efforts in transforming the agricultural landscape:

Some of these relevant questions are:

  • What innovations can reshape the agriculture sector beyond just technological interventions?
  • Which universities and institutions, like International Academy of Entrepreneurship & Employability [IAEGlocal] & Indian Academy of Entrepreneurship [IAEGlocal] are actively working to bring the rural population back to farming?
  • How can technology-driven farming enhance crop productivity and security, ensuring better outcomes for farmers?
  • How can IAEGlocal bridge the gap between farmers and government institutions, eliminating exploitative traders & intermediaries while empowering farmers as key economic drivers?
  • Is there an opportunity to set up, operate, and manage mini food processing units on consolidated farmlands for sorting, cleaning, packaging, and direct supply to organized retailers, q-commerce, e-commerce, ensuring farmers receive maximum benefits?
  • How can we develop SCM, packaging and preservation technologies that maintain the nutritional value of farm produce, allowing it to be sold at market prices during times of scarcity?
  • How can we educate and train rural populations on the digital economy in their native languages, focusing on life cycle management and equipping them to manage financial distress caused by natural calamities and climate change?
  • How can we ensure that crop insurance claims are based on accurate data from technology-driven assessments, providing fair compensation to farmers affected by crop destruction?
  • How can we innovate sustainable business models to manage stray animals humanely, and create solutions like Agrilaser technology to protect crops from wildlife interference?
  • How can we train farmers in efficient water usage, monitoring, recycling, and harvesting techniques to improve sustainability and conserve resources?

To drive these innovations, IAEGlocal adopts or collaborates with villages as experimental hubs through its Center of Excellence [CoE], where we will apply and test new approaches in the field of Kisanology.

Our goal is to create a more prosperous, sustainable, and technologically advanced future for farmers, ensuring they thrive in an ever-changing world.
