Dr Suwarna Shukla

Dr Suwarna Shukla is a research scholar at IIM Indore, exploring the grave problems in the agricultural side and farmer’s suicide. She is determined to contribute her life for working in farmers’ well being by having an enterprise that would run for improving their “Dignified Livelihood Solutions”. Given her academic expertise and her personal connect with farmers, she can work towards doing a lot and lot of research that might help in bring some policies and required changes in the field. May be her contribution in the academics and the field will end up bringing some light to the agrarian community through IAEGlocal. Currently, She is interested in understanding how digitization plays a role in creating a shared value for both buyers (agricultural companies) and suppliers (farmers) in the entire value chain. Also, working with a lot of top notch collaborators and universities of the field from India, China, UK, USA, Netherlands etc. She has helped organizations by completely revamping their old and outdated practices with well flourishing business model and helped them in having designed an easily accessible app that says everything that is needed for farmers.

Presented Research works in many world class conferences in India and abroad related to Improving Farmer’s performance in terms of income, productivity and yield, maximising the overall supply chain profitability, Organic farming and Contract farming. Currently looking from a lens of Covid-19 scenario and how the directions need a transformation in the domain.

Due to the academic expertise, contributing to the various eminent journals world-wide as a reviewer and also recently promoted as a “Editorial Review Board Member at International Journal of Information and Communication Technology Education (IJICTE)”
